Walkin’ Roll Activities League: Supports and nurtures individuals with developmental disabilities by providing team building opportunities through T-Ball, bowling, swimming, dancing and other group activities. Counseling fees are based off of a sliding pay scale. The Family Guidance Center: Provides counseling to adults, families, and children of all ages, credit counseling, and support to victims of domestic violence. OUTright Youth: The ONLY PLACE in the Catawba Valley that provides a unique, youth-centered, safe environment for LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Transgender and Questioning) youth ages 12-23, and their allies, to come together, receive unconditional support, and make friends who understand who they are as they struggle with sexual orientation, gender identity and other issues.Ĭatawba County Daycare Assistance: Assists families in need of childcare assistance by providing daycare vouchers to lessen the cost of daycare. The Children’s Resource Center: Assists parents in searching for and finding quality childcare in the area by providing referrals to local child care agencies and community service agencies. They can also provide you with information about a wide variety of family-oriented resources.Īids Leadership Foothills Area-Alliance (ALFA): Assists people who are HIV positive and their families with support groups, emergency financial assistance, case management, transportation, and community education. CC4C care managers help with locating a medical home for your child, transportation, and childcare. Women, Infants, and Children (WIC): WIC is a federal supplemental nutrition program funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) for infants and children up to age five and pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women.Ĭare Coordination for Children (C4CC): A free and voluntary program that serves children birth to five in Catawba County.
